Sixth Busiest Airport Joins SAN, ATL, PHL, IAH, IAD and host of other Airports Offering the Most Convenient Mobile Device Charging Service for Travelers
SAN DIEGO –– June 26, 2018 –– Tricopian, Inc., a San Diego, California-based developer of the innovative FuelRod mobile charging service for smartphones and tablets, announces that Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is the 29th airport in the United States to offer its innovative mobile device charging service. Instead of being tethered to an electrical outlet or trying to find an available charging station, travelers can recharge their Apple® or Android™ devices with FuelRod ‘Power On The Go™’ from any one of the 10 convenient SwapBox® kiosks located throughout the airport.
With FuelRod travelers can shop, dine and relax at Charlotte Douglas airport without worrying about their mobile devices losing battery power. Customers simply purchase a FuelRod portable charging kit complete with connection cables and charge-up. By swapping a used FuelRod for a fully recharged one at any kiosk anywhere in the network, users have the convenience of keeping their devices powered on the go.
As a service to their more than 44 million passengers a year, the airport solicited proposals for mobile charging and selected FuelRod. With a growing network of kiosks that allow for the return and exchange of the charger, FuelRod enables flyers to stay mobile while they charge their phones. This service frees up travelers to enjoy the great dining and shopping the airport has to offer – and FuelRod helps support the airport’s sustainability efforts by encouraging users to return or “Swap” used rods for fresh, fully charged ones.
“We’re excited to add Charlotte Douglas to the growing list of airports that offer our convenient mobile charging service,” said Tricopian co-founder, Joe Yeagley. “Allowing travelers to unplug from a wall or charging station gives them more freedom to take advantage of the unique experiences each airport has to offer. The FuelRod service eliminates the additional stress caused from ‘low battery anxiety’ providing a more pleasant travel experience in every airport where our kiosks are deployed.”
A FuelRod Kit can be purchased for $20.00 and will substantially charge a standard iPhone or Android phone one time (provides about 25% charge for the average iPad or Tablet). Once used or discharged, the FuelRod can be recharged using a USB connection or may be exchanged or “Swapped” at any FuelRod Kiosk for a fresh – fully charged FuelRod.
FuelRod SwapBox kiosks are at a growing number of locations in the U.S. and Europe. In addition, FuelRod chargers can be purchased online at www.fuel-rod.com. FuelRod can be found on Twitter @FuelRodPower and Facebook at FuelRodPower.
