OneJet announced today it will begin serving Kansas City with nonstop weekday flights between Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) on March 7, 2018 and Memphis International Airport (MEM) March 27.
The service will be operated twice daily with the new OneJet Plus service on 30-seat Embraer ERJ135 jet aircraft. OneJet Plus service provides travelers enhanced amenities, including expanded legroom at each seat; complimentary 4G high-speed WiFi; streaming entertainment gate to gate; and complimentary beer, wine and snacks en route.
Tickets will be available for purchase January 17, 2018 at OneJet.com.
Ranked by daily passengers, Pittsburgh is 4th largest destination from Kansas City without nonstop air service, and Memphis is typically a drive market.
“The Kansas City Aviation Department is very pleased with OneJet’s decision to add Kansas City as they launch their high-quality OneJet Plus product,” said Justin Meyer, deputy director of aviation – marketing & air service development. “Memphis and Pittsburgh are commonly requested destinations from our guests. Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
