OSHKOSH, WIS. (April 25, 2016) – Oshkosh Airport Products, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) Company, will introduce the new Oshkosh® H-Series™ Single Engine Blower at the 50th Annual International Aviation Snow Symposium held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in Buffalo, New York on April 23-27. The company will also display a powerful Oshkosh H-Series multi-purpose chassis with broom and blower attachments, and a vintage 1949 Oshkosh W-Series snow blower that remains in service with Marilla Township in Western New York.
In addition, Oshkosh Airport Products invites all attendees to its annual Snow Symposium hospitality event on Monday evening, April 25, at the Century Bar & Grill (located on Pearl Street right across from the Convention Center).
“The 50th Annual International Aviation Snow Symposium is the perfect venue to introduce the much anticipated Oshkosh H-Series Single Engine Blower, and we’re very excited to have it on display,” said Jeff Resch, Oshkosh Airport Products Group vice president and general manager. “It utilizes proven H-Series components and innovative technologies in a smaller, more maneuverable footprint. Alongside it, we’ll have the Oshkosh H-Series multi-purpose vehicle and, in a testament to durability, an Oshkosh W-Series blower that’s over 65 years old and still in service!”
Engineered with input from airport snow removal professionals, the Oshkosh H-Series Single Engine Blower – with a weight-balanced design for increased control and maneuverability - is an ideal choice for airports of all sizes. The vehicle features Oshkosh Work Control™, a one-dial control for management of power to the blower head and drive wheels, enabling the operator to focus on blowing snow rather than managing engine rpm. Other vehicle highlights include a 3,000 tons per hour snow blowing capacity, a 120 inch wheelbase, and a 48-foot turning circle when outfitted with the Oshkosh All-Steer® all-wheel steering system.
An all-purpose vehicle in the truest sense of the word, the Oshkosh H-Series multi-function vehicle features a front-mounted broom and powerful twin air blowers. Oshkosh multi-function vehicles can be configured to simultaneously perform a myriad of functions, including plowing, brooming and deicing.
Also on display in the Oshkosh booth – courtesy of Marilla Township – is a 1949 Oshkosh W-Series snow blower. Situated 20 miles west of Buffalo in Western New York, Marilla Township still enlists this vintage vehicle, powered by gasoline engines, to battle lake effect snows that pound the region.
