ATLANTA — (09.22.17) – Pond is proud to announce and welcome
Doug Swift as quality control director for its construction division.
Transferring from his senior leadership position in the U.S. Air Force, Swift brings to the Pond
corporate office more than 25 years of demonstrated excellence, leading large and small
teams of personnel in the planning, engineering and construction of military installations in
the U.S., along with managing numerous construction projects throughout the Middle East.
For the last two years, he served as the Inspector General and director of compliance
of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, focusing on safety and quality
control projects. In this capacity, Swift created a new management organization,
developed a self-inspection program for a 3,800-person staff and led the assessment of
installation management functions at 78 active duty Air Force installations worldwide.
A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Swift planned, programmed, and led the
completion of 165 construction projects valued at $140M across 49 locations in 11
countries throughout the Middle East, establishing and repairing air bases for operations.
It was this impressive background that brought Swift and Pond together.
Shaugn McReynolds, Pond’s vice president of quality stated, “Doug is an extremely
skilled professional who will enhance the deliverables prepared for our customers
through the leadership, drive and attention to detail he brings to the construction
division. I am excited about the positive impact Doug will have on the team.”
Swift holds an MS in systems engineering from Southern Methodist University, Dallas,
Texas, and a BS in civil engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York.
Combining his military engineering experience and education, Swift is ready to refine the quality
control program in Pond’s construction division and continue to drive excellence in customer service.
“The vision of Pond’s quality control program is to maintain independent and objective
quality control, worldwide, and to promote effectiveness and efficiency in meeting customer
expectations and project requirements,” Swift explained. “My belief is that a consistent, thorough
and transparent approach to quality not only ensures we exceed our client’s expectations, but it
also prevents rework, mismanagement and waste in the process.”
PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
