Damon Smith, with Mead & Hunt’s Aviation Services, recently advanced to the Airport Consultants Council Board of Directors. Smith has a history of active involvement with the ACC in graduating leadership roles, having served on several committees and chaired the Planning Committee. Smith is looking forward to continuing to represent Mead & Hunt and clients at all operational levels as he participates in and influences discussions that shape industry regulations and policies.
“This is a great opportunity,” says Smith. “This role puts me shoulder to shoulder with decision-makers from the Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, and organizations setting policy and procedure for airports, contractors and business partners. ACC is the leading organization for networking across the aviation industry to increase cooperation, engagement and education for airport operation and development.”
Ron Engel, Vice President of Aviation Services, says, “I am really proud of all the hard work Damon has already done for the airport industry. His election to this position is well-deserved, and his involvement at this level of leadership means that our clients will gain comprehensive insights on industry trends and best practices in airport development.”
PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
