IT spending by airports hit more than $9 billion for the first time in 2016 according to SITA, with mobile investments attracting a big portion of the money as airports look to cater to the always-connected passenger. From mobile ticketing to instant flight updates, there has been an explosion of technology everywhere we turn. While adapting to this changing landscape is key for airports, discerning the appropriate technology for a venue’s needs is equally important – and daunting.
Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)’s Chief Innovation and Technology Officer and Deputy Executive Director Justin Erbacci and Boingo Senior Vice President of Business Development Doug Lodder will help answer the most pressing connectivity questions for today’s airports using valuable insights and actionable learnings from LAWA’s wireless network strategy. From next generation network capabilities like Passpoint to launching a Mobile Passport application, this webinar will talk about the connected experience of the future and the steps an airport needs to take to get there.
