Halifax Stanfield International Airport is the First Canadian Airport to Receive a SmartRestroom Pilot System
ATLANTA (October 10, 2017) – Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia became the first non-U.S. airport to implement an Infax TRAX® SmartRestroom pilot upon completion of the installation in mid-September.
The pilot solution includes throughput counting, predictive data, cleaning alerts and customer survey tablets, which are located at the exit of two airport washrooms.
Craig Paul, director of business solutions and IT at Halifax International Airport Authority, says that SmartRestroom is helping the airport deliver on its commitment to superior customer experience through early adoption of innovative technologies.
“We are very pleased with the quality of data we are receiving from the TRAX SmartRestroom solution,” Paul confirms. “Having a system that provides both real-time and predictive data is a key differentiator for improving our operational efficiency and managing washroom cleanliness.”
Infax also provided its SmartRestroom user interface, which allows the airport to view survey results and real-time passenger analytics. Airport Authority staff can see any negative feedback left by passengers and immediately take care of the problem before it escalates.
Halifax Stanfield’s pilot system marks the sixth SmartRestroom project for Infax. With more projects in the works and plans for system expansion, the solution is proving to be a revolutionary tool for improving business operations and the customer experience.

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
