FRESNO, CA – Fresno Yosemite International Airport today announced the award of a $13.3 million airport infrastructure grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the reconstruction of Taxiway C. The grant is part of the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program for maintaining aviation infrastructure and supporting safety, capacity, security and environmental improvements.
“The Taxiway C Reconstruction project is part of an ongoing commitment to ensure Fresno Yosemite International Airport remains operationally ready and positioned to accommodate future growth,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “In addition to providing a significant infrastructure investment on the airfield, the project will create nearly 150 construction related jobs supporting the airport’s continued impact to the regional economy.”
Taxiway C handles nearly 100,000 annual aircraft operations serving as the primary taxiway for commercial, military, general aviation, cargo, law enforcement, and medical and firefighting aircraft. Identified as a priority airfield project consistent with Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s FAA-Mandated Pavement Management Plan, the reconstruction will include the removal and replacement of existing pavements, lighting, markings and drainage facilities. Expected to begin in spring 2018, the multi-phased project will be completed over the course of one year.
Fresno Yosemite International Airport currently offers Valley passengers daily non-stop flights to Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Guadalajara, Mexico on domestic and international carriers. PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
