FORT MYERS, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2017) – During October, 581,317 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Fla., an increase of 5.6 percent compared to October 2016. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 2.4 percent from the same period last year.
The traffic leader in October was Delta Air Lines with 113,546 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were American (111,231), Southwest (98,942), JetBlue (89,126) and Frontier (64,047).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 5,363 aircraft operations, an increase of 4.4 percent compared to October 2016. Page Field saw 6,817 operations, a 23.2 percent decrease from October 2016. In addition, nearly 2.8 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in October 2017.
