The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) marks 40 years in the aviation industry in 2018. |
Alexandria, VA - The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is celebrating an exciting milestone this year as the global trade association marks 40 years of delivering excellence in airport development. ACC, founded in 1978, has grown to upwards of 240+ members around the globe and across multiple disciplines. ACC is known as the "go-to" organization on airport development issues. Year after year, ACC keeps its members appraised of new aviation trends while promoting fair competition and procurement practices. "ACC was formed in 1978 thanks to the foresight of leaders that realized the need for the airport development industry to have a unique voice in aviation policy and technical issues," said ACC President T.J. Schulz. "ACC has come a long way over 40 years, and with the evolution of the industry over this time, and the growth of ACC as an organization, we are really excited for what the future holds." "I am excited to undertake an update to the ACC Strategic Plan this year with the ACC Board of Directors and membership, to help chart out a dynamic future for our organization that will meet the evolving needs of the airport development community," said ACC Board Chair Mary Ellen Eagan, HMM. "As airports are looking to become more resilient in the future, so must ACC and its members. Stay tuned for an opportunity to provide input on the future direction of the organization." ACC members are encouraged to help ACC celebrate 40 years at the 2018 ACC Annual Conference & Exposition in Bermuda, November 12-14. Details for this event can be found at www.acconline.org. 2022 Charlotte Douglas International Airport Report of Achievement
Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
