Kalamazoo, Michigan – Arriving just in time for the start of the busy winter travel season, the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport is pleased to host another Temporary TSA PreCheck Application Center. Residents of Southwest Michigan can enroll in the Transportation Security Administration’s popular TSA PreCheck® program at the Airport from November 6th – 10th.
The airport is a convenient location to sign up for the popular program that enables enrolled travelers to “Travel with Ease” by experiencing an expedited security screening process. The “pop-up” office will be located in the airport terminal.
The application process allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to enroll directly in TSA PreCheck - an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on, in select TSA airport checkpoint screening lanes. More than 200 airports participate in TSA PreCheck nationwide and more than 70 airlines participate in the program.
To register for the upcoming TSA PreCheck enrollment event, visit the Airport TSA Pre-Check Website. The page includes step-by-step instructions on how to pre-enroll.
Applicants must bring proof of identity and U.S. citizenship. This can either be through a current U.S. passport, or through a driver’s license and a copy of their birth certificate. The enrollment process must be completed in person at the Airport in order for the proper paperwork and fingerprints to be collected. Those participating in the November 6-10 event can park in short-term or long-term parking. Hours of operation will be from 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm with a lunch break from 12pm-1pm. The application fee is $78 and can be paid during the enrollment appointment with either a credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash or personal checks are not accepted.
After completing enrollment, successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) via U.S. mail within about two weeks that is valid for five years. To learn more about TSA PreCheck visit the TSA PreCheck page or the TSA PreCheck Frequently Asked Questions page.
2022 Charlotte Douglas International Airport Report of Achievement
Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
