American Airlines Adds E-175 Jet to DFW Flights
Grand Junction, CO, January 18, 2017– American Airlines introduced a new generation of larger, quieter regional jet service to the Grand Junction Regional Airport. American Eagle began flying a new Embraer E175 into Grand Junction on January 8. American Airlines has scheduled the new aircraft to fly the direct flights to/from Dallas Fort Worth, TX.
"We’re excited about the larger aircraft American Airlines is sending to Grand Junction. It is a sign of the strength of our market and our partnership with American Airlines." – Kip Turner Executive Director Grand Junction Regional Airport
The first class section has 12 seats, arranged 1-2 in four rows. The "A" side is great for single travelers who prefer privacy, with the bonus of having both an aisle and a window seat. The bins on the C/D side of first class are large enough to fit a standard roller bag wheels-first, while the A-side bins can hold small personal items. Economy has 64 seats total, split into 20 seats of Main Cabin Extra and 44 standard legroom seats. The bins in economy can also fit a standard roller bag.
In addition to the E175, American Airlines has also upgraded the flights operating to/from Phoenix to a Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet CRJ700. The CRJ700 has 9 seats in the first class cabin, and 54 seats in economy. The CRJ700 aircraft is larger than the 50-seat, one-cabin CRJ200 that they had been previously operating to Phoenix.
Grand Junction Regional Airport is excited to see American Airlines add larger aircraft to their fleet and into the Grand Junction market. Grand Junction Regional Airport passengers are thankful for the continued reliable and friendly customer service that American Airlines provides.
Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
