LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission has named Carlos De La Torre as Director of Operations for Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT). In this role, he will oversee the daily operation of airport facilities, including airport security, parking, ground transportation and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting functions. Mr. De La Torre began his new position on October 25, 2022.
Bringing more than 36 years of expertise in civil aviation operations, Mr. De La Torre had been serving as the Interim Director of Operations since 2021. Previously, he was Manager of Security and Operations for LIT. He has also worked for the Department of Homeland Security as Assistant Federal Security Director for Operations and as a Regional Manager.
“I am truly honored to be part of the LIT National Airport Directors team,” said Mr. De La Torre. “I am excited to begin this position and work with such a large group of professionals. I look forward to the years ahead of me and the value that we as a team will bring to our passengers.”
Mr. De La Torre earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Wood University. He also served in the United States Air Force.
