MINNEAPOLIS, July 27, 2023—GateKeeper Systems Inc., a leader in commercial vehicle management, airfield inspection, and transportation network company management systems for airports, today announced the recent successful implementation of GateKeeper CVMS systems at both the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). GateKeeper CVMS, a ground transportation management system (GTMS), tracks ground transportation vehicles as they move throughout the airport roadways, recording their activity for data analysis and trip charging purposes, thereby allowing the ability to monetize the airport curbsides while also creating opportunities for informed decision-making regarding traffic patterns, congestion, and passenger utilization of various ground transportation modes.
Robust and modular beyond its core vehicle tracking and data administration functionality, GateKeeper CVMS at Palm Springs, which began live operation on 7/1/23, is also configured with the GateKeeper automatic dispatch module, which manages the flow of vehicles to designated passenger pickup areas, ensuring demand is quickly met, thereby reducing both passenger and driver wait times.
GateKeeper CVMS at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth, which began live operation on 7/17/23, is configured with the AdComp Financial Systems module, a real-time accounting interface which automatically deducts activity charges from commercial operator accounts, decreasing labor for the airport staff and eliminating delinquent accounts or unpaid invoices.
“The success of these projects speaks to the versatility of GateKeeper CVMS and our ability to leverage our decades of experience to help our customers tailor the systems to meet their specific needs. We are excited to see both of these projects brought to successful completion and look forward to working with the respective airport staffs for years to come,” said Brian Richardson, President of GateKeeper Systems.

Giving back to the community is central to what Charlotte Douglas International Airport and its operator, the City of Charlotte Aviation Department, is about, and last year was no different.
Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. Of particular note, we spent the year sharing stories of how Connections Don't Just Happen at the Terminal - from creating homeownership and employment opportunities to supporting economic growth through small-business development and offering outreach programs to help residents understand the Airport better.
This whitepaper highlights the construction projects, initiatives, programs and events that validate Charlotte Douglas as a premier airport.
