CHICAGO, January 12, 2017 - Southwest Airlines recently announced its summer 2017 schedule and there is great news for Midway International Airport. The airline will launch new weekly service from Chicago Midway to San Juan, Puerto Rico beginning June 4, 2017. Also on June 4, Southwest will launch new nonstop service between Midway and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport with five daily flights while resuming daily flights between Midway and Boise, Idaho and Spokane, Washington, and weekly flights to Panama City, Florida.

Midway was ranked among the 20 most punctual large airports for on-time flights in 2016 according to analysts at OAG, which tracks on-time performance for airlines and airport around the world.
Southwest Airlines offers more flights from Chicago Midway than any other market the airline serves. Midway currently provides more than 270 daily direct flights to 64 U.S. cities and 12 daily direct flights to nine international destinations.
